Powerful buffalo carved from Picasso marble with turquoise eyes was created by Zuni artist Jimmy Yawakia. The buffalo represents good medicine, the fulfillment of powers and steadfast endurance. The buffalo was the mainstay of the Plains Indians and was used for food as well as shelter, clothing and weapons.
