This solid buckskin shield has a sweetgrass braid around the edge, a prayer fan and a dreamcatcher attached to the shield. The handprint is an ancient sign used to show “I was here.” This item is handcrafted and the adornments will vary. Certificate of Authenticity included.
A red handprint, usually painted across the mouth, is a symbol that is used to indicate solidarity with missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls in North America, in recognition of the fact that Native American women are up to 10 times more likely to be murdered or sexually assaulted. 10% of proceeds are donated to support Non-profits which supports this issue.
